Call 310-362-5106Frequently asked questions
Are you open 24 hours?
Yes. Carson Pro Garage Door Repair is open 24 hours. Call 310-362-5106 any time.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve Carson and nearby cities and communities, including Long Beach, Torrance, Compton, Gardena, Wilmington, Harbor City, Lakewood, Signal Hill, Rancho Dominguez, West Carson, Lomita, Bellflower, Paramount, Rolling Hills Estates and San Pedro. Call 310-362-5106 to check your location.
Is it safe to open my garage door with a broken spring?
No. The spring carries most of the door’s weight. Without it the door is very heavy and can fall, and running the opener can damage it. Leave the door where it is, unplug the opener and call us.
How do I know if my garage door spring is broken?
Common signs are a loud bang from the garage, a visible gap in the spring coil above the door, loose cables, and a door that only lifts a few inches or feels very heavy.
Why does my garage door reverse before it closes?
The opener reverses when the safety sensors near the floor cannot see each other or when it meets resistance. Clean the sensor lenses and check that both lights are steady. If it still reverses, the opener settings or the door itself may need attention.
Why does my garage door remote stop working?
Start with a new battery in the remote and check that the lock button on the wall control is off. If the wall button works but the remote does not, the remote may need reprogramming or replacing.
What should I do if my garage door comes off its track?
Stop using the door, unplug the opener and keep everyone clear. Do not try to force the door or bend the track back. Off-track doors usually involve cable and spring tension, which needs a technician.
How often should a garage door get maintenance?
Once a year is a common schedule for home doors. Doors that cycle many times a day, such as commercial doors, need it more often. You can also run simple monthly checks like the safety reverse test.
Should I repair or replace my garage door?
Most problems with springs, cables, rollers and openers are repairable. Replacement starts to make sense when several panels are badly damaged, parts are hard to find, or you want better insulation or a new look.
Do you work on commercial garage doors?
Yes. We work on rolling steel doors, commercial sectional doors and their operators for businesses in Carson.
